News from July 18.

The Seattle Sonics and WNBA Storm were sold for $350 million to a group
from Oklahoma City led by Clay Bennett. The team had been trying to
reach an agreement with the city of Seattle for a new or refurbished
arena, but having little success. The new group says [but no one is
really believing it] that they will try to stay in Seattle if an
agreement for a new or refurbished arena can be reached. The city says
the team is under lease through 2010 and plans on enforcing that lease.
The sale of the team must be approved by the NBA Board of Governors.

Boston signed 2nd round draft pick (#49) Leon Powe to a 2 year contract
