#1: Top Grades & No Class For Auburn Players

It's about time this was exposed.

Another reason why big time college sports are a joke...

Among those caught off guard by Auburn’s performance was Gordon Gee,
the chancellor of Vanderbilt, a fellow university in the Southeastern
Conference and its only private institution. Vanderbilt had an 88
percent graduation rate in 2004, compared with Auburn’s 48 percent,
yet finished well behind Auburn in the new N.C.A.A. rankings.

“It was a little surprising because our graduation rates are so much
higher,” Mr. Gee said. “I’m not quite certain I understood that.”

well duh.... you graduate more, because they iz too busy studying and
not busy enough in the wieght room or practicing, etc....

That's a legitimate Life Science.

If an athlete isn't drafted or doesn't have a degree the course is
invaluable.

After about 10 years of pro football an athlete retires and the course
is invaluable.

And I remind you that pointing the finger at others does not grant

Who as an undergrad never took a crip course for an easy grade? I'm not

This will turn out to not even be a violation of NCAA rules, read the

rule says nothing for jocks that the regular student can't avail himself
of. Well, if more then half weren't jocks ...

You all should read the article more closely, exactly what is wrong here?
That some students (and indeed jocks) found a crip course and piled in to
grab an easy grade? Name the school, with or without football/basketball
that doesn't have a few courses in the catalog that are easy grades? Not
just bammer or Auburn, Havard and Yale have over the years had their finger
painting/basket weaving 101 courses. It's frankly as much a part of college
as the gentleman's C that got a certain well known Yaley into high places.

What does John Kerry have to do with this?
