I just took the basic course here in Denver and got the "M" on my
license a week later. I think it helped with basic safety strategies
and that kind of thing. I notice that I really pay attention to what
drivers are doing now, before I would look at the cars but not the
drivers themselves.

BTW I just got an '06 Buell XB9, it's a lot of fun and looks cool too.
Living out here near the mountains is perfect for motorcycles, the back
roads are beautiful to ride on. I'm not really leaning like the bike
can and I'm not sure I ever will but it's fun anyway.

Anyway hope you feel better Tom, take care of that ticker, I know all
about that stuff.

Alex

Alex the '07 XB9R
http://www.buell.com/en_us/bikes/firebolt/xb9r/features.asp
is awesome looking. I can imagine getting hooked on riding that bike.

Have fun and be safe.

OK, roll call! Rocky Mountain RSBr's with bikes, stand up and be counted!
I've got two, (I only ride one at a time), Alex has a new Buell, and Mike
Gleason has a Harley. Who else out there? Maybe we can get a "pool" run up
instead of a poker run.

Rule # 1. NEVER assume that the "other" guy sees you even if you think
you have made eye contact ......ride defensively at all times is my motto !

Glad to hear about your new toy lol ... I love riding the backroads
out in the counties , I have a couple buddies I ride with and 1 of them
is relatively new to bikes and the other day we ended up on a gravel
road and I was almost sure he was about to wreck , I was glad when we
finally hit pavement again lol !

Your leaning ability will improve ,the more you ride the bettter you
will get . I took my daughter for a ride last week and she was so stiff
it was hard ride , My son caught on quick and is an excellent passenger
, I hardly know he is there ! My daughter needs some work tho lol.

Enjoy your bike , be safe and keep it upright and between the ditches !

Suuuurrrrreee......put together a ride when I am not there. Why didn't
you come ride with us when we were out there.

To Others:

I visited Colorado after making my way down from Sturgis. I trailered
my bike, along with other friends to Estes Park, Colorado. It is jut
outside of the Rocky Mountain national forest. It has the highest paved
road in the US. We rode our bike up there just as it was beginning to
snow. FUN!

Hank <~~~~~wants to do Pikes Peak on my dirt bike really fast

C'mon back out. Trail Ridge is still there, and so is Pikes Peak. One I
think you'd like also is Independence Pass. It's also closed about half the
year, one lane much of the way, but you end up in the rarified air of Aspen.
