Blaming the ref. FFS, what a muppet.

I thought his comments were fine. Honiss was poor - and he favoured the
Wallabies. But it's obvious that White accepts there was a lot more to
this drubbing then just that. The Boks were very poor indeed - OTOH the
Wallabies were quite good and had the rub of both the bounce of the
ball and the referees decisions.

I think he has some valid points but in just about the highest losing margin
suffered by the Boks I would look in his own camp for the blame. They didnt
control the ball and found themselves under constant pressure and their
gameplan ( did they have one ? ) was flawed. Maybe Ferdi is right when he
says that selections are crazy and not based on form. Percy looked old and
vulnerable at fullback and I would say that quite a few others should
consider heading to England while they can command some decent money

He is the Prince of Darkness for a reason you know.

But I can't see how Honiss could have played as a sweeper in defence to mop
up all the missed tackles.

Shouldn't an international team have a 'Plan B' incase plan A doesn't work
whether through being penalised by ref or inept players making plan A work?

Yes they should. The really good team can change over to plan B. There
merey good teams stick with plan A and do it well.

In the really crap teams, one struggles to make out what the fuck they
are trying to do. The Boks are of the last group.

They cannot do anything, actually. No, that is not fair, they can
actually scrum a bit. But scrums have been taken out of the equation
when the rule was changed to allow the no 9 to throw the ball under his
hokkers feet and the hooker to be foot up.

A massive scrum (massive, not merely good) is a nice weapon to have,
but it comes after the rocket launchers, the cannons, the tanks and the
anti aicraft missiles.
