#1: thanks

Thanks to the folks who gave me some good tips, ideas, and sources to help
improve my golf game. I did take lessons 2 years ago before I started at a
cost of $700 and frankly they didn't help much. Maybe it was a bad
instructor or maybe it was me, but anyway the quality of my game sucks.

I guage the quality of my game, right now, by how often I get a decent hit.
Not necessarily the score because a lot affects the score including acuracy
of direction and distance, and of course putting.

The tips about weight shift and "swing the clubhead" seems to be helping a
lot. I'll keep practicing and see how much my game improves. I'll report my
progress at www.anybodycangolf.com. My wife writes pretty funny stuff there
too.

Irma, you need not respond since I know you're not interested because you
regard my once a week e-mail as spam, even though every other post here is
yours.

Barry

America and England, two nations divided by a common language. You say
sidewalk, we say pavement. You say pants, we say trousers. You say funny we
say dull. Actually we probably say something little stronger than that, but
in deference to the fact that this is a family group I'll stick with dull.

We say spam and they say spam. So I guess it's a load of spam.

the essence of golf is not how, but how many.

Oh really! I must have missed that . There was a crass piece about
needing 'the bathroom' stumbling in to the woods and then wetting
herself, but surely that can't be what you mean.
