I've been thinking about this since you first posted it.
And I have come to the conclusion that I am not qualified
to comment, as what expertise I have on such things is
pretty much limited to golf. This exercise of yours seems
to be more of a Sufi ritual. I hope you will keep the group
posted if, in fact, the voice of God reveals itself to you
over the course of practicing this dance. ;)

(Seriously, though. This is so far from any golf swing I've
ever seen that I don't know where to start. I would either
junk the whole thing and get to a pro pronto, or never ask
for advice again, instead digging it out of the dirt. Because
I'm pretty sure nobody, and I mean NOBODY, has experience
trying to get that particular move to the ball in some sort
of powerful repeatable way.)

then you might be as kind to tell me, whereever you want, some one-two
fundamental differences of following two pics (note: different focus of
the cam):

http://www.calmar.ws/gallery/ems_2006_40th_day/bilder/w1_fro nt.jpg
(the row below is the essential downswing)

http://www.calmar.ws/gallery/ems_swing-pics/bilder_big/nickl aus_face.jpg

I think actually the 'downswing' is the most essential, so it would be
very kind to note one or two differences there between my 'dance' and
his 'swing'.

thanks a lot!

In no particular order:

1. Your left foot is flared WAY out after you land on it.
2. You have released the clubface before impact. (slightly)
3. Your head slides through the impact zone so you don't
get the Nicklaus reverse C.
4. You are a strong gust from getting blown over at the
top of your backswing due to your overturn of your hips.
How you hit the ball from there at all I don't know, but
you must be quite athletic.
5. That finish position with the club pointing up is pretty
much the dead opposite of Jack's finish.

You do a lot of things well, don't get me wrong. Your position
in the frame before impact looks rather good from this angle,
save for the left foot being flared so much. Your extension
after impact is really really good. But man, the way you get
there is *very* unorthodox. I seriously don't think you can
get any useful instruction if you choose to stay with this
swing. It may be possible to play good golf with it, though.

yeah, I see. I'm still under heavy construction. When it does not get
better, I may open it more at the begin, then it will be ok I think.

> 2. You have released the clubface before impact. (slightly)

hm.

> 3. Your head slides through the impact zone so you don't

yeah, there he is unique I think. If I have some moving forward, even so
I don't see that on the 3 revelant pics, I probably won't care. I also
duck down 1-2 inches (more with the not essential head), what he does
not. I found quite some people who do that, so I don't have to worry
that much I think. I don't see how to turn that off anyway, so far.

yeah, I have to work on the backswing maybe, it's too flat. Yet, as long I
get into a proper downswing position, it's would still be ok. But it's
under conctruction. It's not yet really sane really.

> 5. That finish position with the club pointing up is pretty
> much the dead opposite of Jack's finish.

http://www.calmar.ws/gallery/ems_2006_40th_day/bilder/w1_bac k.avi

here, the first swing, what I break up, is probably how it will be quite
soon. I think it's quite sane. It's about quite in line, and with less
going 'behind' me.... (steeper), ?maybe? providing other 'goodies' as
well. And it should basically be very easy to 'reach', besides I'm just
used to that flat thing, hmmm.

Well cheers,

calmar
