Thank you Simon, for arranging the Southern Meet.
It is a little unfortunate that you and Demetri posted within 24 hours of
each other.
I hope your post does not get overlooked by the important discussions on the
N v S venue for 2007 which of course needs to be sorted asap.

Perhaps you will need to post again in a few weeks time once the North have
decided which course is not too far for them to travel to next year and
would give them most advantage against the South!!
Have you noticed that nearly all the input is from Whippets, the Slickers
being too busy working to post.

Lets hope the Southern Meet on 14th September attracts a lot of subscribers
who have not been before and help boost the Southern team for its 2007 win
against the North.

regards,
Malcolm

Hi Guys and Galls,

So far I have had 2 positive responses and 2 responses to say that they
cannot make it.

Unless I receive a minimum of 12 positive responses by the end of June I
will be left with no alternative but to cancel this event, which would be a
shame as I have run it for the last 6 years.

So, if you want this event to continue, then please get your positive
responses to me now !

Sorry, Simon I def can't make the trip, there are too many away that
week from work, avoiding school term, as per my instruction re howls.

looking at the possibility of a "Whippets" do earlier at my place, it's
the centenary year, & I've just had the booklet posted to me with a
history of the course etc.. Along with many other courses in West
York's, another MacKenzie design, though not famous, & since split by
the M62 motorway, confirms why I love Outlane G C !

Simon,

It would indeed be a shame if your annual event didn't come off. I
think I have already indicated that I can't attend this year,
unfortunately, due to time and work commitments.

Is the date (14th September) set in concrete Simon???
Your club is a good venue.
It would be a pity if it had to be cancelled because the date did not suit.

As I said earlier, some may have missed your post as Durram's plans for the
North v South Bash may have overshadowed.
Maybe try a new thread under a different title??
