Off to Kitty Hawk for a week at a beach house. The weather looks good,
there's a bunch of watersports rental places close by and more good
restaurants and seafood than you can shake a stick at.
Don't anybody lose their fine edge of righteous anger while I'm gone!

Sorry, I posted and ran. I have to check the camera and see how the pics
came out. I'll post any that give a real good idea of how the beaches are.
The link Bryan provided for campsites is as good as anything I could come
up with. There are many RV campgrounds down there, so you'd have no
problem finding a place to stay. You'd love the fishing; it's the
"billfish capital of the world" according to the local ads.

Well, if you're not into marlin and such, they also catch a lot of king
mackeral, blues and tuna.
You call yourself a fisherman and don't know about Hatteras? Are you
mostly a freshwater guy?
