David O'Leary gone from Aston Villa. Possible successors being
discussed include Curbishley.
Glenn Hoddle resigned from WOlves on July 1st because they wouldn't give
him enough transfer money. Mick McCarthy has been announced as his
successor.
Any chance of either Hoddle or O'Leary showing up as the USA coach ?
Neither is a genius , and Hoddle seems to have man-management skills
deficiencies, but both are experienced.
Anyway, there are quite a few high profile, but not necessarily good,
coaches out of work right now, including, IIRC

Graeme Souness
Kevin Keegan (can't see him going back to management, though)
Jose Pekkerman

Rule out Souness - he gets along with nobody - many of the players
that he coached can't stand him. He does come off as a smarmy SOB

Can't even get along with his own shadow, let alone another person. No way
suited to motivate well paid international class players who can quite
easily just refuse to listen to a word he says because he'll only harm his
own team if he drops them.

proud winner of the Glenn Hoddle award for acting crazy while in charge of
a soccer team. Is good at motivating English players for some reason. Has
the tactical acumen of a sack of especially naive rocks.
