I remember Mo striking Bonds out in interleague play a few years ago.
Was that the only time they faced one another? Bonds seems like the
ultimate left hand hitter against whom to test the cutter.

Hmm. From what I can tell from retrosheet, Bonds has never faced
Rivera, either during the regular season or the All Star Game. Perhaps
I'm missing something, but if that's true, the next place to look would
be spring training.
Here are some top lefty hitters who have faced Rivera, and what they've
done against him:
Giambi: 2-8, 1 BB, 2 K
Griffey: 3-7, 1 HR, 4 BB, 1 K
McGriff: 1-7, 2 BB, 2 K
Palmeiro: 8-23, 2 HR, 6 BB, 0 K
Thome: 2-10, 1 2B, 1 HR, 5 BB, 4 K
Mo Vaughn: 5-11, 1 HR, 1 BB, 2 K

He faced him in the regular season that year the Yanks played the
Giants at home. What was that 2002? I remember Bonds said Mo had
"Nasty stuff."
Need old box scores. How do you get those?

Joe, it appears your memory is stronger than my research skills:
you're right. Bonds faced Rivera on June 8, 2002, and struck out.

www.retrosheet.org is the place for this. The reason I missed the
above is because I didn't realize that the player pages list only
"selected" batter-pitcher matchups, chosen by retrosheet as only those
matchups with at least 4 plate appearances.

Yes, Ray, you found it before me. Mo actually lost the game, but not
before striking out Bonds.

And this part of the box score is humorous...
"GIANTS 1ST: NYA rookie RF Juan Rivera took wrong train to the
stadium and then ran into a maintenance truck during batting
practice, breaking his kneecap;"
