You must have been um...wait a second...who? The economy we have right this
second is sensational. The "phony war" in Iraq is um...not phony unless you
are an insane Democrat hellbent on..well...not really sure what in Hell
drives Dems except oppositionalism for the sake of oppositionalism.
Hmmm....incomes are actually up despite what left wing media pretends.
Disposable income is way up. More people are working today then at anytime
in history..we have record home ownership...record business startups without
that nasty problem of thousands of business failing everday as happened
during the entire 2nd Clinton term. Now if we could get the Republicans to
stop spending like...Democrats things would be just about perfect.

Under Clinton the economy got better quarter after quarter. Look at
where it was at any point in his administration and then look at where
it was 6 years later. The same cannot be said for Bush who inherited
the largest surplus in history and made it into the largest deficit in
history.
And if you think that the reasons for going to Iraq were legitimate,
please answer just three questions.
#1. Where was the link between Iraq and 9/11?
#2. Where are the WMDs?
#3. Where is Bin Laden?
Bush is a disaster, but then there is no reason to believe that he
never got a blow job in his life. I sincerely hope that you do not
like him for your ability to relate...
Of course, if you have gotten a blow job, Bush was probably watching
it. After all, it is Bush who decided that the Constitutional rights
of Americans to not be spied on by their government was only a
suggestion made by the Founding Fathers...

idea is to get what has been promised more likely to be — or closer
delivered to what has been promised. Does that make any sense to you?
It's kind of muddled. Look, there's a series of things that cause the
— like, for example, benefits are calculated based upon the increase

Wrong and pointless. The economy was sliding into recession in the 2nd half
of Clinton term #2. The years of strength in the Clinton year's came as a
direct result of the GOP Contract With America that basically undid much of
the damage that was underway his first two years in office.
The same cannot be said for Bush who inherited

Bush inherited a stealth surplus that was largely nonsensical. Projected
surpluses based on economic assumptions that had no historical model to be
based on and didn't take into consideration the unknown factors (i.e. no one
knew there would be a major stunning international crisis that changed
everything in September of 2001 for example).

Who ever said there had to be a link between Iraq and 9/11? I never made
the argument. I don't recall anyone on my side making that argument. I do
recall however in late 2002 and early 2003 seeing liberals firing up the NO
LINK strawman.

Well let me see...did you sleep through June of this year? I
mean....throughout the month there was quite a bit of reporting about the
fact that the coalition actually has in posession several hundred chemical
and biological warheads captured in Iraq over the past 3 years. Did you
just...not notice this? It was probably the single largest story of the
month worldwide behind that little soccer tournament in Germany.
> #3. Where is Bin Laden?

Someplace in southern Afghanistan. But what does that have to do with
whether or not we should have gone to war in Iraq? I mean besides the
obvious open support that the Baathists in Iraq gave to Al Quaida despite
years of your side stating that there was no connection between the two
(note: in February of 1999 Saddam publically invited Osama to accept asylum
in Iraq...your hero Clinton launched one missile barrage in the fall of 1998
into targets in among other places..Iraq to destroy Al Qaida training
facilities).
But if your argument against Iraq is that we have not found Osama...that
argument lacks a certain logic.

I see..so what you are making is a very logical argument. Well done.

Yet another strawman. And a bizarre one also lacking a certain thing called
fact.

elected, and the Dow started it's decline the day Bush secured the
Republican nomination. True. Look it up.

inherited a surplus and turned it into a record deficit.

Bush was in office? The ones that would only be effective if pushed
off a cliff onto people walking below it? I suppose that Wiley Coyote
would consider them to be effective, but look at how effective he is
in choosing weapons.
So listen up America... Do not walk under tall objects in Iraq if you

went after Iraq instead of pursuing Bin Laden because Iraq had "better

What Saddam may or may not have done in 1999 has nothing to do with
what Bin Laden did 2 years later. BTW... In case you didn't notice,
Bin Laden did not take refuge in Iraq.

Not at all. We haven't found Osama because Bush spent more time,
energy, and resources invading Iraq. His response made about as much
sense as it would have made for FDR to respond to Pearl Harbor by
attacking Argentina. Bin Laden got away because Bush took his eye off
the ball.

IRAQ WAS BEHIND 9/11!!! That was never ever the argument. You can post

Ahhh you are a Keith Olbermann fan. Now here is a reality check. The
various skin and nerve agents discussed have shelf lives that varry. The
argument being made by your side as a blanket attack no these revelations
essentially is not based on reality. The best argument would be that the
rockets themselves might not be viable..which is not to say that mustard
agent that is 20 years old won't do horrific damage to you. If you doubt it
I cordially invite you to take a skin test yourself and see how long you buy
that little silly argument you are clinging to.

You know, if a mushroom cloud went off over Miami you would be blaming Bush
for that as well. Fighting a war on terror while ignoring Iraq in the same
neighborhood while pretending they were cooperating with a cease fire that
they made a public mockery of would be malpractice.

Bin Laden isn't being ignored either. This isn't a war on Al Quaida in
Afghanistan. It is a war on terror.
He started a war with us. He is responsible for

Oh so all of my friends that are in Afghanistan engaged with Al Quaida and
the Taliban there..aren't really there? Wow! Astonishing! "instead of"
implies that we are not engaged in Afghanistan. Rather stunning to find out
since we have been there in force since the fall of 20001.

Perhaps. Which isn't really the point now is it? Your side has pretended
that there was "NO CONNECTION BETWEEN IRAQ AND AL QUAIDA PRIOR TO OUR
INVASION" which is simply a lie. Osama and Saddam were co-belligerents.
Iraq was a terrorist state whom we happened to have an existent state of war
with in early 2002.
BTW... In case you didn't notice,
> Bin Laden did not take refuge in Iraq.

I know that. I knew that. I am also on several orders certain that before
9/11 you never heard of Osama Bin Laden...whereas by noon PST on 9/11/01 I
was on record with anyone who would listen that this had the look of an Al
Quaida attack.

Um..incorrect. In your expertise exactly which resources that have been
allocated to Iraq would be better served in the search for Osama? Those
thousands of fighting vehicles that would be utterly useless in Afghanistan?
How about those troops trained in Desert warfighting that would also be
completely useless in Afghanistan? In the Order of Battle for Iraq vs.
Afghanistan there is little interchangeability as regards anything that
would be useful in a cave by cave search. Where in heck have you been
getting your military training/information from?

I am clearly obsessed with Clinton? I didn't say a word about Clinton. You
are so obsessed you 1. replied to my sig..which has been there for months

Well I don't see any President spying on me as a good thing. Fortunately
there is nothing to suggest that a President is spying on me. The funny
thing is, you are the one pretending this is a partisan fight on my part.
What I am interested in is winning the war on terror. You seem more
interested in winning an election fight.

Sept. 11 prompted the invasion of Afghanistan, a move which the world
supported. 9/11 has been the catch phrase for just about everything done
since that invasion, whether 9/11 was related to it or not.

Do you mean the 'wmds' to which Rick Santorum referred and was laughed at
because those weapons were old and not the type of WMD's to which the
invasion of Iraq was based.
And the US is still searching for the missing flintlocks.

Or not. We don't know where he is. We know some places he's not and one
place he's not is in custody of the US forces.

Actually not. I have seen him maybe three times and didn't dislike
him, but I am certainly not a fan, have never gone out of my way to
see him, and have not seen him since the last election. Truth is that
I do not even know what channel or time he is on.

Again... I suppose that if someone were to walk to where one of the
warheads was, unscrewed the top of it, and stuck their head inside it
would do some damage, but barring that (and I cannot see too many
tourists lining up to take that trip) they were not a treat to

Once again Charley... Deal with reality. Not fantasy. I have not
suggested that had Gore been President on 9/11 that you, and other
Republicans would not be saying that it wouldn't have happened had
Bush won.
I am not saying that if Osama were still on the loose going on 5 years
after the fact while we were in a war with a country that had nothing
to do with the attack that you wouldn't be criticizing Gore.
So stick to what is please and not your paper tigers.

Fighting a war on terror while letting the most horrific terrorist in
the world escape so that we could focus on a country that had nothing
to do with the attack, and an inability to attack us if they wanted to
is incompetence of the highest order.

I know there is conflict in Afghanistan. My son is there. And it
doesn't change a thing. Bush focused on the wrong guy, on the wrong
country.

See above. My son is there. Why are there more troops in Iraq (which
had nothing to do with the attack) than going after Bin Laden?
Answer... Bush focused on the wrong target.

"My side" has rightfully said that there is no connection between Iraq
and 9/11. However, following through on your logic, it would appear as
if some bad guy were to bonk you on the head, steal your wallet and
car and violate the woman in your life that you would rather the cops,
even if they knew who he was, didn't focus on getting him but rather
on getting the guy who was his drinking buddy 2 years ago.
Sorry.... Just doesn't play with me.

Good for you. Too bad you didn't have the President's ear. According
to Richard Clarke who was there, he insisted that it was Iraq.

quotes of Clinton.

I questioned your sig line because it is quite honestly pretty stupid
and I was calling it to your attention since you may have had it for
so long that you had forgotten it was there. Secondly, I have made no
false or careless allegations about Bush. You cannot make the same
claim regarding Clinton.

The media is anything but left wing, which anyone who is paying
attention knows. Yeah, most reporters are liberal, but most editors
and almost all publishers and station owners are Republican and if you
think that a reporter determines new content, you probably also think
that corporals determine troop movements.

Whether he is or is not is not as important as the fact that he
decided that he can without following due process.

Well, 10 year old Clinton quotes in your signature would suggest
that...

You are full of it and your comment is baseless and vile.

Not sure if you noticed his first real budget but..there was some major
mitigating circumstances around that. Did you manage to miss that as well?
Bill Clinton didn't have a war on terror to fight. I am certain that future
historians will manage to not forget that little tidbit that you seem to
somehow miss.
