The View may actually be worth watching.. [message #1083155] Wed, 12 July 2006 22:51

I found myself watching this AM..(don't ask)...and they were talking
about Playboy magazine being in a home or a public place. The old
jewish chick (Joy, the one who's not Baba Wawa) was like "Oh, there's
nothing wrong with that" and then young chick --the one who's married
to Tim Hasselbeck went off and was like "NO! that's disgusting playboy
is porn and I would never have that in MY home!"

And then Joy is like "your husband wouldn't look or doesn't look?" and
Elizabeth again goes NO - no way" and then Joy said "what if its in the
locker room when he's with the boys" and she again goes livid and is
like "NO! That's for masturbating and he doesn't have to do that he's
GOT ME!!"

At this point Baba is turning red. They had a temp filling in for Star
-- Deb Roberts, who's black.
SHE turned red too. She's married to Al Roker and remarked something
about Al only having weather magazines in the house. I actually
laughed. With a dearth of sitcoms these days, its almost shocking to
laugh at something on tv.

Jason "I guess filling Star's seat is going to be a Thurgood Marshall
type thing where we have to have a black person as the sub because
otherwise the black people are going to rise up and riot outside ABC
studios, right?" Todd

Joy Behar is Italian and Roman Catholic.

She's made similar jokes, I believe.

That blonde bimbo has the IQ of a potato chip.
Everytime she opens her mouth, people in the room cringe. She has to be
the stupidest thing since the original blonde, Debbie
Cantspellhernameopolis, or whatever.

Life is going to hit this twit between the eyes just like KLG and Marie
Osmond. And I hope they have a camera on her when it happens.

I found Debbie completely refreshing. I think she would be perfect for
the View. That way we could see more of Al as well...... whom I adore.

Elizabeth Hasselbeck said one of the most idiotic things I've ever
heard on The View the last time i watched (must have been 8+ months
ago).

They were talking about the proposed ban of flag burning, and she was
saying that the flag means so much that people can't just do whatever
they want with it...and her rebuttal for the obvious "what about
freedom of speech, freedom of expression, ect" argument was, and I'm
paraphrasing but I'm not taking what she said out of context because it
still sticks out in my mind:

"Well, can you do whatever you want with the flag? Can you hang
somebody with it, actually murder with it?"

I was **STUNNED SILENT** that a human being could possibly believe what
she just said had any relevance to the debate.

It's an idea that would be laughed out of this newsgroup by members on
both sides of the politcal spectrum (regardless of where you fall on
the flag-burning debate).

I'm starting to think that a liberal like Barbara Walters only put
Hasselbeck on her show because A) she's pretty and B) she was the
dumbest conservative availible, so the liberal side of the show
(represented by Behar, Walters, and Star/Rosie) would always triumph in
politcal discussions.

"Cantspellhernameopolis, or whatever"? Why did you bother to type that?

1 second with Google would have allowed you to post the correct
information. I think you know her real name, and are feigning ignorance
to adhere to an illusion of coolness. You know more about The View than
your peers would find acceptable, and you must disguise that fact. Admit
it.

ahhhh... the misguided ramblings of a closet racist. So typical of the
kook left.

Everyone knows black people don't watch the View.

One of these days Elizabeth is going to have a moment like Kathy Lee
Gifford did when she found out her husband was cheating on her.
Elizabeth, like Kathy, is always painting such a wonderful picture of
her hubby and their life. With a husband being a sports figure who
travels, is good looking, and stays in hotels where groupies are known
to congregate is a recipe for disaster in the making. She truly is
clueless about everything, although she thinks she knows it all.

This is EXACTLY the first thing I thought when I heard Elizabeth go on.
Good call -- I think you're right. Her Frank Gifford moment will come
-- and I bet someone is attempting to set it up now.

Elizabeth needs a course on basic biology. Men do like to look at
naked women. I shudder to think what a control freak she must be at
home.

Sure, but she's also so dumb her man can get away with just about
anything as long as he spouts off about the Family and Jesus platform
with conviction.

"My husband says all he needs is me. He's a god fearing Christian, so
I believe him."
