Well, as it progressed, I became a fan of the show...
didn't like the first round coverage, but I adjusted.
There was more personality presented. Instead of just
seeing the game face, the show added more. Manufactured or not,
I really don't care.
Now, about Mike the mouth:
really, it's about a guy I work with...criticizing Seigels
playing! He's a half a step above banger, parades around with
a $1600 moochy (the $700 one just wasn't up to snuff), and makes
Seigels attitude seem like Ghandi. I have a warped cue I use when I play
him...just frosts his ass. He also believes almost every barroom myth about
pool,
and is way above the level of actually reading a BOOK!
Seigel may come across as arrogant, but by damn,
he earned it! amazing..this wannabe calling M.S. arrogant, and saying he
did this wrong, and that wrong, etc.
/yeah, I a wannbe too, but I know it.
I love people that think hardware is the answer..I'm really confident
playing against them.
I know the type from music...like its easier to play a really expensive
instrument. yeah, right.
/if I just buy this gadget, I'll be a great /pool
player/golfer/musician/whatever.
OK, rant off

I would guess that every pool room, bar, league has someone
like that. There are guy's in Leisure Time I could give a ball
to, well retract that, guys I could play even and drill, that
have custom made cues and only lose only because I get all the
rolls. It's funny and in some cases sad, but it takes all
kinds to give life some spice.
So Seigel is mouthing off, wish I had his gig! Not to mention
his pool playing ability.
Go IPT best thing to happen to pool in years.

Fatty ran his mouth so long it made him a million bucks. His mouth put
Sigels to shame, no contest. Fattys mouth could give sigel the 5-6-7-8
and the snap. There is a lesson there to be studied by the way.
Making serious money in pool has came from the mouth, not from potting
balls, just ask the Miz about that and his showin off...

Sounds like some one I once knew , back before pool was cool and only
Hustler's or pro's carried their own cue there was this guy who used to
come into our local tavern with all his toys that I just loved to beat
him using the crookedest cue or mop handle I could find just to hear him
whine ! I won his cue one night ( an old dufferin )in a put up or shut
match and immediately sold it to another guy for $25.00 who sold it back
to him for $50.00 . He never played me again and as far as I know he
still has the cue ......Now I wish I had kept the cue ..it is probably a
collector's item now ........

Yes it has but now with all the leagues and tourneys and such ,pool is
now reaching the masses and is not just played in seedy smoke filled
rooms that bred the hustler image .Now John (and Jane)Q . Public think
nothing of A nite out playing pool , Pool is making a resurgence as a
respectable sport such as the IPT bringing pool to the public as a main
stream sport !

I hear you T. Like the C players that are always telling me I think too
much. Or my friend who won't believe me about the physics of the game etc
etc etc. The funny thing is a few of the best players I've run into also
believe many of the barroom myths and it doesn't effect their games. They
compensate unknowingly and even sometimes combine 2 incorrect myths to
create one correct shot. Like using inside spin on certain shots without
realizing the reason it works is squirt.
