Ian, you're probably a terrific bloke and we need more of those around here
but, if you're going to get this offended, RSRU is definitely not for you.
Take NOTHING said in this forum to heart. Nothing.

Well, other than the bit about New Zealanders and sheep, because everyone
knows that's true.

Other than that, if you really are a decent thick-skinned poster, then
please continue because we need more informed, South African content - we
normally have to put up with only Ferdi.

And there's that bit about Aussies with crime, race riots and
Eastern-European-style sports institutes that gobble up more taxpayer
money than the arts and indigenous rights
combined...

Oh and the latest news is that Govt is spending three times more money on
it's vehicle fleet than much needed maintenence of school buildings. Go
Aussies.

I've been on rsru since 1992 - just don't post very often, Mike. But
you're sufficiently irritating for me to want to respond every now and
then.

Unfortunately I've been out of SA for five years now, so there's not
much I can tell you about SA rugby. Other than that whatever else can
be said about Ferdi, he certainly knows his rugby.

We should have some sort of Hall of Fame in the FAQ so that legendary
posters of the ilk of Jennings, Guillarmod, Bickerstaff, Howell, Taylor,
Clegg and others who darken our doors from time to time, can refer less
august personages to written proof that they are really, um, well, old...

I hardly think I qualify as legendary, Rick. I've even had to ask you
for advice on occasion, I recall (with shame:)) Jacot, Mike Amm, Daan
Claasen, they were the SA legends. One of the reasons I so seldom post
now is that there's much less SA interest than there used to be.

Other idiot makes claims and expects everyone to believe it based on zero

Yes, that is a shame. Where's Andre Maritz for instance? A thoroughly
decent chap, for a prop. And Mike Amm, a marvellous fellow, for a
referee. How we miss his informative, calm contributions.

I fear that the relentless ferocity/borderline psychotic bahviour of
Greyling, F. has rather coloured the perception of your compatriots in
the eyes of many rsru regulars, which is unfair as most of them are far
better behaved than much of the pond life in these parts, especilaly
from New Zealand I confess with some shame.

Although Deon Naicker of the memorable sig file is not much of a loss.

All we need now is Jon Morgan and we're all set for a "10 Years On"
revival of Uncle Dave's Rugby Pages. Hmmm...

Do you still pay to get published Rick?

John Morgan would be a welcome returner. Fortunately Ben still shows up
from time to time and Mike Amm appears infrequently in the other place.

Still? Still?

Once I did it for free, Dave me old China, as well you know.

Now they pay me real money.

You want me back on Uncle Dave's Rugby Pages (readership you, me and
Didds) and it'll cost you.
