Because people pay to see her.
Sponsors' exemptions aren't about "deserving players". Deserving
players qualified by other means. Sponsors' exemptions are for
those players who did not qualify, but who the sponsors want anyway.
Since the sponsors pay the money, they can do what they want.
The best sponsor's exemptions are those people who the crowds are
willing to pay to see. How many sponsors' exemptions can you name?
I can only name 4:
Tiger, Phil, Annika, & Michelle.
