Nice to see the low-life scalpers back.

If you don't like the price, don't buy the ticket. Nothing wrong with
making an attempt to sell...it's called a free market. I know it's
against your principles of communism, but fortunately for the rest of
us, the USA is a free market economy.

Every salesman sells products for more than they cost him.

Not to Scalper:

She didn't qualify. Try them with mustard or ketchup and maybe they
won't taste so bad when you eat them.

No, no, it's just that, like Ohio State football tickets, or Ryder Cup
tickets, there are thousands of people who would willingly wait in line
to buy them. But they cannot get far enough up the queue to do so. And
yet, somehow, some guy who only wants the tickets to gouge money from
someone else for them, manages to weasel his way to the top of the line,
above the true fan, and then tries to scalp them on this ng.

In other words, it's only a free market if you believe that free markets
should operate on corrupt principles.

Why is it "corrupt" to want to make money?
All that is being done is buying a ticket and selling it for a higher
price than paid.
Why do some people have a problem with that?

Like I said, don't pay the price if you don't want to, there is nothing
forcing you.

You act like you are entitled to a lower priced ticket "just
because"...well, get in line sooner....or, like this guy probably did,
pay your money upfront and wait a year to either go to the event or
sell it for a profit.

Fuck, you communists are wacky!

I'll spell it out for you. It is corrupt when the scalper gets access to
tickets ahead of those more entitled to them. That happens all the time
here, by a variety of well-known mechanisms that would take too long to
explain, especially to those who really don't want to know.

There is also an issue of fairness - how should priority for access be
set, and then how should that be enforced? In general, we seem to be
quite good on the former, and absolutely hopeless on the latter.

All this talk about communists, etc., is just childish and irrelevant
BS. And do try a little harder to keep the obscenities under control.
Happy hour must have started early this Friday.

Of course, don't bother to explain because 1) you can't, 2) it probably
doesn't happen.
But don't let that stop you from throwing more shit on the wall.

There is only one reason scalping is done = it works. If people would
simply say "No thanks. I'll only pay face value.", then scalpers would have
no profit and would stop scalping. Simple, really. (As an aside: would
you likely offer your house for sale for less than you paid for it? Likely
not. You want a profit.)

The one's I don't like is corporate America buying season tickets to
ballgames with tax deductible money. If I buy tickets, are they tax
deductible? Heck, no. I just want to be treated the same as corporations.
Entertainment has no purpose being tax deductible. Talk business at the
office.

Oh, dear. We seem to have had several too many too early in the evening.
Well, guess what, sunshine, you are a miserable excuse for a human
being, and you lack even the most basic ability to express yourself, and
instead just resort to foul language. How clever.

Why should anyone even bother with someone so incapable of even the most
basic civility? So I won't - you are now in my kill file, and good
riddance.
