First of, I was rooting for Italy, so no, I'm not a "dirty French
bastard" (just in case you were readying the flame thrower :-))
The card count only proves one thing: the Italian players are way
smarter at getting the opponent punished.
Henry was slammed for certain, look at the replay with an open mind...
Nonetheless, to all of you who feel robbed: the easy way out would have
been to score a goal! The Azzuri were out of breath, France had a good
60 minutes to score one goal and didn't do it. Nobody robbed you, but
nobody outclassed you either! France definitely played better for most
of the game, but Italy played smarter/trickier... It could be perceived
as cheating because it's a different style of play, but as long as FIFA
doesn't declare it's cheating, then it's NOT! For fuck sake, it's not
like none of the French players should be surprised by this, how many of
them play/played in the Calcio?
Zidane is a victim for sure, a victim of his temper! Materazzi provoked
him and banged him up as only Materazzi can do, but what was the best
revenge for Zidane? Headbutting the fucker and getting thrown out or
scoring a goal? Looks like he made the wrong decision...
