Got my Bandon assignment... [message #1043651] Do, 01 Juni 2006 16:33

Hey gang,

I received my assignments for the Curtis Cup to be held at Bandon in
July. I will be a marshall for the afternoon rounds on both days. Will
spectate in the mornings (team play) then do lunch and 'work' the
singles rounds. It all takes place on the Pacific Dunes course July 29 &
30.

Also, orientation is on Thursday so I can watch and photograph practice
on Friday.

I get a shirt, wind jacket and hat as well as lunch vouchers. I'm ready.

Eat your heart out Pflum. :-)

Cheers Lee O.

What? No free golf?

Is that like a 'gentleman's club', where you get to look
at the view, but no touching!

Sex and golf are not spectator sports.

Thanks John, I shall. The first sentence of the letter I got reads as
follows: "Thank you for volunteering to participate in the 2006 Curtis
Cup Match to be held at Bandon Dunes Golf Resort, Pacific Dunes course,
July 29-30, 2006."

I hope they know what they're talking about. Pacific Dunes 'may' be
better for crowd control, or provide better television views or easier
access. Whatever!

Cheers Lee O.

Ah, my fault then, Lee. I thought it was being held at Bandon -- ON
Bandon.

Near the 11th tee would be a great place to stand and watch. Get to
see the approaches on 10 and the tee shots on 11.

I think I would go for the hill above the #5 green and just spin around
like Linda Blair. Great views of many holes. Here Hear! Stop that Dug!
