The Rose Award For 5-20-2006. [message #1039200] Mon, 22 May 2006 00:15

The Rose Award goes to Barry Bonds of the San Francisco Giants, who
went one-for-three with one RBI and scored one run, tying the home run
record of Babe Ruth, hitting his 714th home run in a 4-2 win over the
Oakland Athletics.

Barry, your next shot is on The Rose Committee. :-)

Isn't it in the cell next to Pete?

Pete can't get on the Lemonade Stand Committee. The only thing he'll
have
any vote on is how many tickets he has to buy to see Barry inducted into
the Baseball Hall of Fame.

It appears that Pete Rose betted on the Reds 4,256 times and went
bankrupt. Then Rose met Rosecomm in jail and they had sex 4,256 times.
Why did you think he named himself Rosecomm4256? Because he swallowed
Rose's cum 4,256 times! ;-)

Finally, a Rose award I can agree with. One cheater gets an award named
after another cheater.

On the social pariah scale, Bonds will fall somewhere short of O.J.
Simpson but way beyond Pete Rose. At least, I'm sure there will be a
seat next to Rose at all the card-signing conventions. But at least
Rose will get to keep his records ... he certainly didn't cheat in
order to get past 4,191, did he?

Everyone knows Bonds is a fraud; whether they choose to admit it to
themselves is another issue. Those who still choose to clap for him are
the worst kind of fans: they would rather see spectacle instead of
sport.

Methinks that's why the WWF existed.

No more than Joltin' Joe did to achieve his 56 game hitting streak.

No fair starting a cross-post and then replying to it, troll.
