Just some non-abrasive soap and water with a wet towel will do the trick.

But you'll save yourself a lot of effort by simply wetting a towel and hang
it on your golf bag when you play. That way, whenever you take a club out
of your bag, just wipe off the clubhead real quickly, then you'll never have
to go through a major cleaning project between rounds. (Although it's a
good idea to scrub the grips every now and then -- assuming, of course, you
use rubber grips.)
