You have heard all the answers, though personally I just use the damp
end of a towel. I keep the middle of the towel wet also to wipe down
the grips or my face if it is hot and the back end clean and dry.

What I didn't see mentioned is that the grips are just as important as
the club face, especially in the summer. Give them a quick wipe with
the damp towel after your shot. Scrub them well with soap and warm
water after every 6-8 rounds at least. They will stay nice and tacky
until you wear them out.
