Why don't the reporters in Iraq leave their hotel and see what's
actually being accomplished?

Well hell Multi, why should they do that when they can just spout the
administration 'line of the day' by reading their press handouts.

Because they'd rather be alive.

Well, a prominent CBS reporter IS alive, but barely, and two CBS
staffers are dead. I'm sure they'd rather be alive. You people are
talking about something you know nothing about.

Wow, that didn't take long. You just did it again.

Not at all... "Because they'd rather be alive" indicates agreement
with the first statement, whch infers that the reporters "don't leave
their hotel."

I'm sure that they would rather be alive, but despite the dangers,
they DO leave that "haven" and the result can be deadly.

Ahh, I was referring to the subset of all reporters that was being
asked about in the first post. I did not address my answer to those
reporters who didn't fit his question. I am aware that there are
reporters who take risks all the time, which is how I was able to come
up with my answer which I "know nothing about". (I have a brother
serving in Iraq at this moment).
