Just uploaded a few pics from RSGNW,
http://photos.yahoo.com/trueputtz
Thanks Scott, this was a wonderful event.
A few of the highlights for me:
Getting paired twice with Dave Sneddon, watching him drive past the hole
on the first par four at Columbia Point.
Stumbling through the last few post thunderstorm holes at Columbia Point
with Thor and his bag o' beer.
Busting some long RSG drives at Horn Rapids. The ball sure goes farther
in the desert than it does at my rain soaked, below sea level home course.
Andy "grounding" his club in the water hazard on the 18th hole during
Skins Madness. Dude, you need to study at the Tommy Bolt School of Club
Throwing!
Learning that "perfect" weather means rain on three of the four rounds I
played, but still getting in lots of golf!
Thanks to everyone I played with: Bill-O, Peter Strauss, Snedden, Dug,
Beuge, Pflum, Eric, Joey, Andy. I went to this event to meet others who
are passionate about golf and have fun. Mission Accomplished.

Nah! Bowen got Tex by juuuuust a few hairs. Bill-O and I were about
15 yards shy.
I played with Bill-O twice. Enjoyed it immensely. A gentleman with a
good sense of humor and an awesome game from 150 yards in.

A tie at best. We also had Eric from Atlanta, Tex, a Pesky Canadian
from Windsor, and Dave from SoCal. The force of the Geiger is strong.

I was walking along with Mike up that fairway. He was only 6-10 inches
past the marker, but there was no question he was past it. He busted a
perfect shot, probably was aiming right at the marker based on where he
ended up.

Hey, Champ!
Nice job shootin' yesterday. But, your game couldn't hold a candle to
your duds!

HEAR HEAR!!! Once again Scott was the consummate host and great fun to
be around. Even when I was putting Tex in the desert so much that he
thought he was back in Texas, it was great to be with the guys and gals
and have a great time.
Thanks for posting the pics. I've got a slew of pics that Brenda took
and I'll go through & edit them tonight to get 'em up for folks.

I heard about that. Jeeeezus. "Lay up? Why would I lay up?"

LOL Heard about that one too. Grounding it indeed. Maybe submerging
it?

Bingo. I almost never play in the rain (though, I might point out,
that it was raining when I got home and is still raining right now.
Geiger Counter is disappointed--it was looking forward to sitting by
the pool and having a beer.
Some other highlights:
Rick teeing off and someone who shall remain nameless (until someone
else names him :) calling out with a feigned English accent, "Don't
worry, he's (h)armless!"
Eric teeing off on the first hole on Sunday, taking a mighty rip and
the wind of his club whooshing past the ball moving it at least a
couple feet. In fact, I think Dug measured his "drive." Dug?
Watching Tex hit my pull hook on a par 3 at Horn Rapids *out of a
freaking bush and onto the green.*
Presentation of a new award to Scott at the beer exchange. *ahem*
Thor being told that he couldn't drink straight out of the pitcher at
the Grizzly Bar because they were limited as to the size of the glass
they could serve!
Golfing with Eric & Andy, which was one of the most amusing rounds of
golf I have had in years. Perpetual comedy, sniping, ribbing.....just
great. And like everyone else, they made Brenda feel very welcome.
I'm still trying to persuade her to take up the game, but can't get her
to go for it. Something about how frustrating it is. *shrug* Got me.
lol
Eric getting to gloat about pushing a ball next to a shrub that blocked
him from the green on Saturday morning because it was ground under
repair.
Peter Strauss being able to find a relevant ruling for me on the Sunday
round which gave me the answer I wanted! :) :) :) :)

Mission accomplished indeed. A huge thank you to Scott for putting on
the event (and though he argued otherwise, I can't believe it's not a
great deal of work).

I'm still giddy about the new PB. Problem now is that I have to set a
new goal. I guess the next round figure is 70. LOL
Of course, next year I have to wear the Champions (read: "Target") hat
on Sunday, so I'll have to find something suitable to complement it.
I'm thinking something in plaid. :)

Wuss! Wuss! I bet you drive the speed limit, too, huh? :) Speaking
of, thanks for the ride on Saturday night.
(Also, regarding my comments about Jim Ladd, check out jimladd.com and
http://www.955klos.com/showdj.asp?DJID=1579)
If you measure a drive, do you measure it in a straight line from the
tee to the ball, or do you measure the distance it advanced past the
tee markers?
It did advance past the markers, no? Y'all excuse me while I go hide
from Mr. 6'3" and Big As A Mountain

Man. You want short game, tee it up with Dave. He is deadly from
under 80 yards. Full wedges, pitches, chips, sand shots. Great to
watch.
Humbling, but great.

heh! I am humbled by your skill from the tee. If I had your
driver/long-mid iron game, I'd be on the f***g PGA tour...
why is it that we mere mortals can only accomplish one or two of the
many parts of this game required to be "good"? I enjoyed your career
round...a sight to see, and I'm glad I was there. Hope I can be there in
a short time to see the "break 70's" new career round!

Bill-O and I were discussing that, and I had him beat by a good 300
miles now that I looked at a map. King of Prussia, PA (just northwest
of Philadelphia) is about 2,300 miles as the crow flies and Atlanta
about 2,000. Don't forget the Pfluminator from Cinci and Thor from
Cowlumbus.
I got some pretty good pictures (and a lot of slightly blurry ones)
that I'll post when I figure out how and when I'm at home.
Thanks Scott, it might have been the most fun time I've had at an RSG
event despite the weather (actually the hang out during the rain was a
lot of fun). And no disrespect to RSG Ohio Thor, my memories fade and
I don't feel like thinking about it right now. Everyone made me feel
right at home from the time I got there. More later.

Yes indeed. And I had a decent shot at closest to the pin, too. Plus
that chunked 9i on the par 3 where the topic of discussion was, "What

yeah, the conversation was something like:
"I wonder if any foursome has all made a hole in one on the same hole?"
"billions to one"
"we could do it!"
whack!
"I wonder if there have ever been three hole in ones in a row?"
whack!
and so on until we all had hit. Hey, one on the green ain't bad
