I'm in a bit of pain at the moment from a numb testicle, but that's
another story for another time. I think it may be crushed. To take away
the pain, Bobs has come up with AB team (which actually doesnt help the
pain due to the sad lack of Aucklanders in the team)
15. MacDonald
14. Rocokoko
13. Muliana
12. Luke McCalister
11. Gear
10. Carter
9. Weepu
8. So'alio
7. McCaw
6. Collins
5. Jack
4. Ryan
3. Hayman
2. Oliver
1. Woodcock
Our centres are shit this year. Suddenly with Smith and Umaga out of
it, it starts to look a bit bear. I can't stand Aaron Mauger, and
Mulaina is untested at centre at test level...but he's a classy act,
even for a dirty traitor. I've given his fullback jersey to MacDonald.
McCalister is quite suited to second five methinks. The Wife Beater at
the chiefs is also in quite good form this year, so perhaps he can
scare Girly Man O'Driscoll into surrendering again with a few hard
hits.
Either way, this team will crush Ireland despite a few weaknesses. I'm
picking the boers could win the 3n this year if Smith is not fit. He's
the replacement for Umaga...Nonu doesn't cut it.

Hi Bobs,
Some nice picks but I've a feeling James Ryan and Tony Woodcock are
both out for the pre-3N internationals due to injury. I may be, and
most likely am, wrong but that's what I was reading in the paper on
sunday.
For centre GH could give Anthony Tuitavake a run cos he can be class
and at 23 is still relatively young. He's had a quiet S14 and wasn't
picked for the Blues v Chiefs game last week cos of a training injury,
I think, but I hope he gets a look-in somewhere along the way.
And Sam Tuitupou is class. He may be out of favour permanently cos of
the <information permanently suppressed> but should be in the Junior
All Blacks at least.
Things are looking good here in NZ this season cos for every player you
mention in your list I could (but won't) list an alternative player who
would do the jersey proud. We might or might not win the 3N with my
alternative team but would do pretty well against the rest of the
planet.
Regards
Miguel

Hmmm. Sivivatu is doing the business right here right now, as is that
white guy for the Crusaders, Hamilton. You'd only pick Roko on past
form and potential.
> 13. Muliana
Laulala is doing alright, sort of best of a mediocre bunch. Much like
Pita Alatini used to be. Not a fan of picking great players out of
their natural position. Mils is a fullback. Or a bench utility, but not
a first pick centre. Smith better get his act together.
> 12. Luke McCalister
What is it with you Aucklanders? This guy is a first five. Just because
he's big doesn't mean he's a second five. He's backup to Carter. Mauger
it has to be, especially since he seems to have learnt how to tackle.
Nonu looked OK at 2nd 5 when Smith was centre, so there's a reasonable
partnership for the future as well.
> 11. Gear
> 10. Carter
> 9. Weepu
No argument with any of this lot, although Weepu seems a bit fragile at
times. But then seconds after suffering a game ending injury he makes a
clean 20 yard break, so whether he's just a great actor or simply a
drama queen is still up for question. Porn boy as the backup.
> 8. So'alio
> 7. McCaw
> 6. Collins
If it was anybody else but McCaw, I'd like to see the whole Wellington
back row in there - as one of the Oz commentators said, they're like a
three man security firm barring entry. And what with Holah and Lauaki
just itching for a go, we're not short of quality back rowers.
> 5. Jack
> 4. Ryan
Ryan is injured. Form lock in the S14 has to be Eaton. Williams may
have shot his bolt - last few games he's reverted back to the wingnut
he was a few years back. May just be frustration at playing in the
Blues. Then there's that Chief's fulla Upton and that other scarfie
lock Donnelly.
> 3. Hayman
> 2. Oliver
You're fucking joking. Oliver couldn't hit a barn door with a bucket of
paint. Directly responsible for a pile of Highlander's losses. Mealamu
is tainted by being captain of the biggest underachievers in the S14.
Hore is the man. He's got the perfect name for a hooker and he's not
afraid to blast vicious wild animals into blubbery chunks if they get
in his face. We need that in a hooker.

If Tuitupou doesn't make the extended squad, there'll be a stewards
inquiry.

Dunno about the jaapies, they're still pretty one dimensional. The big
improvers could be the convicts, now that they've got rid of Wendy.
Between the Oz franchises, there's one very, very good team and if they
pick it for the 3N, we'll struggle. Biggest worry is if the buggers
keept it under wraps until the RWC and then go out and win a third one.
That would be bad for life, the universe, and everything.

Mils by default.

Mauger definitely. McAlister and Nonu as backups.

Kelleher has looked ordinary this year. Putting Weepu at nine should fire
him back into life.

With Big Del gone, the Wallabies can get a bit more brains in their counter
attack. And with the way things are looking for us this yeat, the
competition is definitely going to heat things up

I sympathise with our sideshow friend: I just missed crushing one of my
crown jewels when I was out biking last weekend. I just wanged it enough
to let out a blood curdling scream, but I was ok after a few minutes.
Judging by the depth of the scars on my knees, if I had landed fully on
the Balearic's I'd have been totally jaffa from now on.....
Look on the bright side Bobs, it should stop you masturbating for a few
days, and that can only be good kittens the world over....

We'll it wouldn't be you Dickman that's for sure. For a start you haven't

When the weather is warm my betties hang especially low and I have
squashed on with my own leg whilst commando. Most people find my pain
incredibly funny and are not at all sympathetic.
Thankfully living here in the UK this happens once or twice a year, I
also avoid saunas and wear shorts with a longer leg.
Mike
P.S. the best advice I have had all week: make sure your girlfriend
removes her chewing gum before she gives you a blow job. It's only
wednesday but I can't see 'owt beating that.

I don't think you'll see Macca and Mils starting in the same team with
the management's desire to run two separate test teams.

It will be Mauger alternating Nonu, I'm afraid. McAllister is Carter's
alternate.

He's not playing well, is he? It will be interesting to see how Ted
picks. Will it be on form or class? Whatever happens, there's good
depth in really good locks these days so I'm not too concened.
>
> > 3. Hayman

Actually, Mealamu's form has been ok as a hooker. He has not set the
team alight with his captaincy, and he has been buried by an
underperming middle and back row. Oliver's lineout throwing has been
reverting to type which is worrying. Mealamu and Oliver will remain the
first choice hookers in the rotation, with individual games being
selected by their strengths matching the requirement for the game.
..

He's another that hasn't looked that great in the S14. Ted will
definitely pick on class not form here.

Yeah, he's short which helps to get underneath for one of those
'lifting' tackles.

He looks great at any level below 1st tier test, where he gets found
out.
