Mike Sammon Memorial Cup Old Boys Tournament
June 9th 2006 at Santa Clara University, Santa
Clara, CAL
8:00AM - 4:30+ PM
$350.00 entry fee per team.
Field is adjacent to Buck Shaw stadium where main
games are being held.
This is an 8 team tournament for this year. If we
receive entry fees for more than 8 we will do our
best to adjust day to fit all the teams in.
Will be expanded to 16 teams, a mini rugby division
and hopefully a high school division as well.
Mike Sammon was a fixture in the San Jose rugby
fraternity for 26 years. Came up through the Seahawk
high school program, then Chico State and San Jose
State and finally the San Jose Seahawks and
Silverhawks. He gave his heart and soul to the game
of rugby. He is greatly missed but will live on
through this Tournament.
We have Silverhawks, Old Southwest, Hayward Old Boys,
Aptos Old Dogs, Bald Eagles, San Jose State Old Boys,
Chico State Old Boys and Marauders committed. There are
Senors, Fresno Old Boys, Paxos, Mission Old boys,
Nevada Old Boys, Sacramento Old Boys and the Faded
Roses still interested. If you are an Old Boy and
coming to San Jose/Santa Clara to see the Churchill
Cup bring your boots and pick up a game or two.

up a game so we can get a body count and be
better organzed.
