After the fight, Emmanuel Steward explained their strategy for the
fight:
"Our plan was to keep the left hand in an extended position instead of
bring it back. Byrd kept trying to get out of the way and he didn't see
the right coming."

I dont think he was being sarcastic. The stragegy was only brilliant
because Byrd totally cooperated, no double jabs over the top, no lateral
movement, no head movement, nothing. Teddy Atlas once said, "why be a
southpaw if you are not going to act like one"
