Waratahs washed out... [message #983272] Wed, 26 April 2006 12:48

NSW Waratahs today have taken a look at the flooding in Dunedin and decided
to give it a miss!

Their flight this morning to Dunedin was diverted to Christchurch after a
failed landing attempt in foul weather at Dunedin Airport in Mosgiel.

Have not seen any further news on this, however they would not have been on
an immediate bus from Christchurch to Dunedin either as Highway 1 was washed
out.

Likely to have flights back, and roads open, but will have some impact on
their prep for Friday night's game at the House of Pain.

The rain didn't wash the final score away, but.

20-3 to the Waratahs

the house of pain lived up to its reputation because nearly all the people
who paid money to see the game ended up in great pain

Or at least the survivors amongst them did.

Ah, Dunedin. Dismal one day, worse the next...
