Well, it's finally over, but what a dreary exhibition from both sides.
Any but the most rabid observer would pray that one of the Irish sides
rips Biarriitz in the final for the sake of Rugby. How any team can put
such talent on the field and play with so little ambition is beyond me.
If Leinster get to the final and play like they did against Bath, or
Munster as they did against Sale, then Rugby will be the winner.
Roll on tomorrow.

Not a matter of ambition regarding Biarritz. This team is more
tactics-oriented than most of the other french sides. They have absolutely
no complex with that. I read some post-match reactions and most of the guys
told it was really difficult to handle the ball with rain pouring. So
Yachvili was quickly asked to use his boot. What's wrong with that ?
To my mind, the game was rather tarnished by some really ugly gestures.
Auguste eye-gouging Grewcock... Betsen tripping Crockett (becoming hard to
think it wasn't intentional again this time, Serge...) plus some good
punches throwed by some rude english forwards...
Well, the audience was happy with the... outcome ;-)

Betsen needs a lengthy ban to stop him contintually tripping people.
Auguste just needs kicking out of the game. Biarritz smarter in the
conditions and deserved the win. Ref was appalling, probably for both
sides but you only remember the ones against yours, mostly though he
was just inept at control. Malone needs to learn plan B.
