Does anyone have played Cape Breton courses in Nova Scotia.
We plan to play 4 courses: Bell Bay, Dundee, Highland Links and Le Portage.
Any comments on these course ?
And what is a must for people on vacation (without their children) in this
area.
We plan to be there for 7 days.
Thank you in advance for the answers.
Robert

Highland Links was way too much golf course for me a couple of years
ago. Mogels in fairways took nice drives and bounced them into the
woods!
Bell Bay is an absolute favorite. Can't speak of the others.
A really nice surprise down near Halifax was the town of Chester's golf
course. Breathtaking views, great people, nice course.

Yes. Highland Links is the best course I've ever played. A Stanley
Thompson masterpiece. Play it play it play it. Haven't played the others;
I'm sure they're fine though.

You should really see the Cabot Trail. A beautiful drive, lots of hiking
trails and little restaurants and campsites, if you're into that. Also it
goes right past Highland Links.
Louisberg is also very cool. A recreation of a massive fortress built by
the French and blown up by the English. You can easily spend an entire day
there.

I advise you to play Highland Links twice.

You're welcome.

You have to check out the Fortress of Louisburg -it is the premier
attraction in Nova Scotia
http://www.louisbourg.ca/fort/ a full day event. Other than that the
ride around the Cabot trail - Highland National Park. You will drive
the Cabot trail between Highland Links and Le Portage. Make sure your
brakes are in good condition.... Lobster suppers as well...
"The Fabolus Foursome" - played them all - no issues
Highland Links is a golf experience you will not forget. There is
quite a walk between holes
Bell Bay is extremely well maintained - PGA quality - Like Highland
Links it is a bit pricey for the locals to play there
Dundee - hope you like hills. If you are walking - you will feel it in
your legs. A nice course however
Le Portage (Acadian area of NS) - a nice club - fairly open and a good
course to play
Highland inks will be the one you most likely remember - then Bell Bay
- then Dundee - then Le Portage
