At the rate this coaching search is going, this will inevitably be the
next headline.

If they get Beilein (spelling?), I'm going to spend a few hours laughing
my ass off at the homerkooks on a certain Rivals board. (not posting..
just reading and laughing)

Chris Washburn is free. Or in jail. But why quibble.
But seriously....has Nate McMillan turned it down yet?
Or is there some bizarre reason they're not going after
him - no alums allowed?
(Can I put in a plug for Frank Johnson?)

Nate McMillan makes $5m a year running the Day Care center in Portland.

The most believable reason (not the most sane,
but believable) is that there is a pathological fear of
anything remotely associated with Jim Valvano. Also
explains why they haven't even contacted Whittenburg
(one of the few players from the pre-Les Robinson era to
actually graduate).

Wasn't Frank a Wake Forest alum? Seriously, the Jeff Ruland idea might
not be that bad. How about Tom Gugliotta? Chris Corchiani? Sidney
Lowe? Have any of these guys actually coached anywhere?
