4-30-06 Lakers Suns : two foul observations [message #978881] Mon, 01 May 2006 17:06

1 - After Kobe drove around one player and elevated for the floater, he
was definitely hit in the air with a moving block. It was not called.

2 - In the final play of the game, Luke Walton clearly set something
like a moving pick which was crucial for getting Kobe over to the top
of the key. It was not called.

Final observation: both of those shots by Kobe were very difficult. Did
you see how high he floated that ball? And the J: he created just
enough space in combination with elevation to drain it. Top notch
stuff. I don't know who else in the NBA could've done that. Peja might
be a better shooter but he lacks the leaping and individual skills to
get that open. McGrady is also a step or two slower for that kind of
action. AI is just too short to deal with the type of people that were
sticking Kobe.

Yeah, that would have been a *great* call, huh?

McGrady? LMFAO. Kobe hit more clutch shots yesterday than that
overrated putz has in his entire career. Heck, Smush Parker hit more
clutch shots yesterday than McGrady has in his entire career.

Have you ever (and I mean _ever_) seen moving pick whistled in the end
close play-off game? Hell, whatever game?

To clear issues: I'm all for officiating the same way no matter what
game and game situation, but NBA simply doesn't work that way. It should
though.
