Yes, I'm a Gator, but I'm orginally from Memphis, and do somewhat follow
the Tigers, just in case some are wondering why I'm posting a conf-usa
post. A lot of people either don't know much about the Tigers, or
probably think they are not a legit possible #1 seed for the big dance.
With the way teams like 'Nova, Duke, and UCONN have played lately, why
not Memphis? They ran through their Conf. tourney so far (and they
should in that conf). But tomorrow, a major thorn in their side, UAB.
This team has the Tigers' number for whatever reason. Football,
basketball, it doesn't matter. But Memphis did beat UAB at home earlier
this year. The Tigers are still a hard team to gauge, if they want to be
a true contender, they need to spank UAB tomm, to build confidence going
into the dance. Their achillies heel would be the weak conf play, and
Calapari's refusal to play the zone at times, and they are young. Could
be an interesting game. Carney and Williams are pretty impressive to
watch.

Well, they spanked UAB, and Williams and Carney were pretty effective
again. Put the Tigers on your "team to watch" while filling out your
brackets.
