Souness sacked as Newcastle manager. One down two to go - Ferguson and
Moyes.

Levene sacked as Leicester manager.

Brighton in relegation zone.

Sheff Wed and Southampton just above it.

Blackburn 3 Man U 2 (chortle)

Newcastle 0 Man c 3 (Guffaw)

Erm. If you're going to have a chortle, at least have the grace to get
the score right.

Don't write off Moyes just yet. If Everton continue their current
progress they'll end up a decent footballing side as opposed to the
limited 'hit-and-run' team of last season.

Burley's been doing some interesting wheeling and dealing. They have no
chance of the playoffs this season but I reckon Burley will keep them up.

I think John Gorman would be an imaginative choice. He's done it at the
top level as Hoddle's sidekick, and he's turned Wycombe into an
attractive footballing side on no budget. And since we have a virtual
bye into the Euro 2008 finals there's plenty of time for a new manager
to bed in.

Unless you were born in Wankerland of course, or your parents or
grandparents were and then emigrated. Of course this still isn't quite
right as those people are properly known as Wankerers.

Newcastle - sacked their Scittish manager and won their next game.

Leicester - sacked their Scottish manager and won their next two games.

Gretna turned out to be a banana skin for Clyde!

Err..Gretna's manager is Scottish - Rowan Alexander: ex-St Mirren
Clyde's is English - Graham Roberts.

Not that this has anything to do with the real subject of this post -
Henderson's failure to applaud the achievement of English athletes
purely on the basis of their skin colour.

Sorry, that was a non-sequitur from another thread where I put forward
the idea of seeding in the Scottish Cup. After their win over Celtic,
Gretna was a nightmare draw for Clyde whereas the four likeliest
remaining winners played each other. Hearts v Hibs final?

I try not to be racist, and I'm not specifically targetting Amir Khan
because he's not the only example, but I'm not comfortable when I hear a
sportsperson say "I'm British through-and-through and proud to represent
my home country and sometime in the next couple of years my parents are
going to set up an arranged marriage for me with a nice girl from our
village in Pakistan".

Actually I'm not going to scoff at this afternoon's score. There seems
to be a trend that teams only just scraping through against meagre
opposition in the early rounds go on to have long cup runs.

Don't be stupid, Joe. He doesn't like coffee flavour either.

Do you think he'd ever be seen dead eating anything brown or
