"He ain't no MVP to me because he scored all those points," Harper said.
"That's my boy, too, but I get tired of seeing that.
"I want to know if he's making anybody else on the team better. And what are
the other guys on the team doing? Do they just run up and down the floor and
watch Kobe?
"That's my boy and I love him to death. If it's a one-on-on game, I'd take
my money and put it on him. But it's not. It's about team.
"When it's about team, I can't put my money on him. But he's the best at one
on one and he's the greatest show on Earth right now."

Let's see how many more championships Kobe wins. My guess: 0.

He's obviously making the rest of his team better. How else would a
CBA-level squad be 24-20?

Hmmm. He is taking Lamar Odom and making people think he is a CBA
level player, and you think he is making him better? How do Odom's
stats compare with and without Kobe?

Stats really aren't the issue. Statistically, he's near his averages.
I've followed the kid his entire career. His problem isn't stats. His
problem is a lack of mental toughness, which reveals itself at most
inopportune times. Point is, Odom isn't really any worse or better than
he's always been.

Somewhat better with Kobe, but the difference didn't seem statistically
significant to me. This was discussed in ASBNLL about a week ago.
