I just finished reading the book by Thomas Hauser, "Muhammad Ali - His Life
and Times."
The book was amazing, even if your not a huge Ali fan. I recommend it to
everybody here on RSB.
I watched a lot of classic films on all the HW greats, but Ali edges out Joe
Louis as the #1 Heavyweight of all-time. The guy beat -Foreman, Liston,
Frazier, and Norton.
The Ali that beat Cleveland Williams was perhaps the most complete boxer in
history. Prime Ali had it all: Speed, reflexes, adequate punching power, and
a granite chin.

As an over view, Tom's book is the definitive all around study so
far... well researched and constructed from over 200 interviews...
along with Black Lights, his signature work... for a poetic (literary)
rendering of Ali read Wilfred Sheed's "Muhammad Ali" a masterwork long
essay on Ali published in 1975...
